Small original artworks, framed miniatures, and artist-designed ornaments inspired by the landscapes, wildlife, and familiar places of Northwest Indiana.
This year, I've been exploring new ways to bring my artwork into smaller, more intimate formats. Alongside my traditional paintings, I've been creating miniature originals, hand-pulled prints, individually painted ornaments, and small art objects featuring reproductions of my work.
Much of this collection draws inspiration from the Indiana Dunes and the landscapes surrounding southern Lake Michigan. From the birds that inhabit our woods and wetlands to the historic landmarks of Northwest Indiana, these subjects have found their way into my paintings for years. Now, they're finding their way into new forms.
Some pieces are one-of-a-kind originals, while others feature reproductions of my paintings and illustrations. Although many make wonderful holiday gifts, much of the collection is designed to be enjoyed throughout the year.
One of my newest offerings is a collection of miniature reproductions of my original paintings, presented in small gold metal and glass hanging frames.
These little artworks feature familiar Northwest Indiana landmarks, including Michigan City's historic Coaling Tower, along with native birds and the Indiana Dunes landscapes.
Although they make lovely Christmas tree ornaments, they're equally suited to year-round display on a wall, in a window, or wherever a little piece of art might find a home.
I've also been creating individually painted ornaments, approaching each as a miniature original painting. These small, round pieces feature wildlife subjects including owls, deer, rabbits, and doves, surrounded by richly colored, layered backgrounds.
Working with acrylic paint, mixed media, and textured surfaces allows me to experiment with color and pattern on a smaller scale. Each ornament is painted individually, making it a unique little work of art.
In addition to the hand-painted originals, I've developed a collection of artist-designed ornaments featuring reproductions of my paintings and illustrations.
The ceramic ornaments feature Indiana Dunes landscapes, Northwest Indiana landmarks, and wildlife subjects such as sandhill cranes. My acrylic bird ornaments feature custom illustrations of various state birds including cardinals, robins, goldfinches, and northern flickers.
These pieces make thoughtful gifts for bird lovers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone with a connection to the Indiana Dunes or Northwest Indiana.

Alongside the ornaments, I've been creating and gathering a selection of small original paintings on canvas and other surfaces.
Some incorporate mixed media, textured surfaces, and more experimental approaches to painting. I enjoy the freedom of working at this scale, capturing a bird's expression, the delicate details of a butterfly, or the atmosphere of a landscape in a compact format.
These miniature originals offer an opportunity to collect a one-of-a-kind painting in a size suited to smaller spaces.
This year has also marked my return to printmaking, a medium I studied alongside painting while earning my BFA at the University of Toledo. After nearly 25 years away from the process, I've enjoyed rediscovering printmaking and exploring ways to combine it with painting.
My new collection includes hand-pulled linocut prints of sandhill cranes, butterflies, and Northwest Indiana landscapes. Some are printed in black and white, while others are individually hand-colored with watercolor.
I've also been creating botanical monotypes, combining printmaking with painting and mixed-media techniques to produce unique works. These original prints offer another way to collect artwork made by hand.
