I minored in printmaking at the University of Toledo Center For Visual Arts, working under the great Peter Elloian. I loved working with intaglio and lithography. During this period, I focused on monochromatic work with line and texture, scratching into copper plates and etching away in the acid bath. Aquatint, wax crayons, chipping away at a linocut... This form of working was full of ritual and rigor. My return to painting since 2024 has led to exploring home-based printing with gelli plates and eco botanical printing, in which I can paint over the monotypes.
