This is based off a tree here in northwest Indiana. Working with the movement and bold color of contemporary Impressionism here. Rich strokes that play off one another, in a vibrating sort of way. The brush strokes are meant to be next to one another, not overly layered, so as to let some of the underpainting come through just a bit.
