Oil Pastel

Green Heron, the Observer

14"x21" Watercolor and soft pastel

These fascinatingly awkward herons nest in our cedar trees, swoop near the pond, and squawk loudly flying over our heads. Their fledglings are hilarious with their bright leggy movements. Despite their name, they don't actually appear very green to me most of the time.
