Great Spotted Woodpeckers

I did this watercolor in the mid 1990s when I was a teenager. This is shortly after I had started painting, and the piece was accepted into Cranbrook Academy's Michigan Wildlife two year tour through the state. I had entered the exhibition through my high school visual arts department. I was excited for it to be included in a traveling exhibit! But, in that two year time frame, my family moved and I never got the work back! The painting was lost to me forever. I assume Cranbrook sent info about pick-up to our old address. So, in my mind, it's still on tour, traveling around! All I have of this is an old polaroid that was scanned. So this image is a scan of a picture of a painting. Ha!
